Things To Do while staying in Villa the Beji

Ride horses at the nearby Bali Equestrian Centre, which has world class horse riding facilities as well as professional instructors, a café and a swimming pool.

Play tennis or take a coaching session with our on-call tennis professional, Jordan. Especially good with kids, who just love him!

Have a sunset dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking the surrounding rice fields.

Enjoy a poolside garden BBQ put on by our villa manager, Fengky. Be spellbound by the amazingly lit up garden and the tastes of master chef.

Salute the sun each morning with your very own yoga instructor who will lead you through your routine each morning.

Spend a day or even just a morning or sunset at one of the many beaches that can be found within easy drive of the villa, and enjoy a snack, a meal or even just a cold drink at one of the many small bars and restaurants that line the sands. Take care when swimming, however, as the waves can be a little rough at times. Remember to swim between the flags and look out for small children.

Take a ride into Seminyak to enjoy shopping in the many boutiques that line the streets of this most fashionable neighbourhood. Pamper your self in a spa, dine well at one of the many great restaurants found here, or soak up the sun at one of the many hip beach clubs like Potato Head, Mozaic or KuDeTa that sit above the waves.

Alternatively head north just 10 minutes to Batu Bolong beach, home to a much more relaxed, and some would say 'hipper', crowd of expats and in-the-know tourists who call the beach venues up here home. Old Man's, Deus ex Machina and the Beach House are perennial favourites.

Come sunset time make sure you find yourself relaxing with a cocktail at one of the many fashionable beach venues like Mozaic, LV8, KuDeTa, Potato Head, or just chill out on a beanbag at one of the local haunts with a cold beer surrounded by kids and friendly dogs. It's pure magic.

Take the kids (young and old) to Deus ex Machina: a combination restaurant, café, music venue, art gallery, custom motorbike workshop, clothing store, barber and skate park. Fun for all the family.

Dine breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of Canggu's hippest and most delicious restaurants. Casual and friendly, with fantastic menus, head to Milk & Madu, Betelnut, La Finca, Canggu Plaza, La Laguna, Bungalow Living, Hungry Bird, Grocer & Grind ... the list is endless.

Visit a holistic retreat to experience yoga and wellness treatments in absolute peace and harmony at Desa Seni or Samadi.

Take a drive to the countryside and do some sightseeing at some very beautiful and accessible spots including Pura Tanah Lot, Pura Ulun Danau Beratan, Bali Botanical Gardens, Taman Ayun Temple, visit Ubud and see a traditional healer, drive up to Kintamani and the volcanic caldera of Mt Batur, and marvel at the absolutely stunning UNESCO protected Jati Luwih rice terraces.

Surrender yourself to the pleasure that is a spa treatment at one of the many upscale spas around South-West Bali that include Gold Dust Lounge, Think Pink Nail, Oazia Spa, Herbal Spa at Hotel Tugu Bali, Therapy in Echo beach, and even though it's a bit remote, the Singaporean minimalist style spa at Alila Villas Soori (where beach ATV-riding and horse-riding can be organized as well) is a treat beyond description.

NOTE

Like many tourist haunts in the world, good restaurants come and go like the wind, so it's difficult to keep track of all the coming and goings of the restaurants and cafes and bars so we would like to recommend that you check out the below websites to stay on top of all the good things that Canggu has to offer.
